Coronary arteriole research makes its public debut at ET-19
The Nineteenth International Conference on Endothelin marked the first public disclosure of the team’s findings on endothelin-1-induced coronary arteriolar constriction.
Dr. Guangrong Lu presented at ET-19, held September 21–24, 2025 in Charleston, South Carolina. The conference brought together researchers studying endothelin biology and its role in disease.
The program included the team’s work as oral abstract O10 and poster B10. Co-authors were Dr. Guangrong Lu, Dr. Xin Xu, Dr. Lih Kuo, and Dr. Travis W. Hein.
The research examined how isolated porcine coronary arterioles respond to a clinically relevant level of endothelin-1, with findings implicating Rho kinase signaling. This preclinical work forms part of the scientific foundation for Lucier’s focus on coronary microvascular dysfunction.
